Albums

Kill 'Em All, Metallica's first album. Band members include (according to the CD itself): James Hetfield (singer/rhythm guitarist), Lars Ulrich (drummer), Kirk Hammet (lead guitarist), and Cliff Burton (bassist).
Release date = July 29th, 1983.

Ride The Lightning, Metallica's second album. Band members are the same as Kill 'Em All: James, Kirk, Lars, and Cliff.
Release date = July 27th, 1984.

Master of Puppets, Metallica's third album and Cliff's last.
Release date = March 3rd, 1986.

...And Justice For All, Metallica's fourth album. After Cliff died, Metallica found a new bassist named Jason Newstead. Not only did he play the bass, but he also would do backup vocals during concerts. The song To Live is to Die is a medley of bass recordings left behind after Cliff died. The words are a small stanza that Cliff was fond of.
Release date = August 25th, 1988.

Metallica, Metallica's fifth album. The album is also known as "The Black album" seeing as to how it is completely black with a picture of a snake and the word "Metallica" written in white.
Band members are Jason Newstead, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Kirk Hammet
Release date = August 12th, 1991.

Load, Metallica's sixth album. Band members are the same as ...And Justice For All and Metallica.
Release date = June 4th, 1996.

Reload, Metallica's seventh album. The band's personnel is unchanged.
Release date = November 18th, 1997.

Saint Anger, Metallica's eighth album. Instead of Jason Newstead, the bassist for this album was the producer, Bob Rock. However, Robert Trujillo was the band's bassist as they toured to promote the album.
Release date = June 5th, 2003.

Death Magnetic, Metallica's ninth and most recently released album. Metallica are currently touring on their World Magnetic tour to promote the album with Kirk Hammet, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Robert Trujillo on the lead guitar, rhythm guitar/lead vocals, drums, and bass respectively.
Release date = September 12th, 2008.

Metallica, in my opinion, is a really terrible band.

I only like their ballads, like Blackened.

I hate shouting, yelling, the abuse the drums, and pretty much every song sounds the same...

Kirk Hammet is an amazing guitarist, I hate to see his talent wasted:push

I like Master of Puppets the best. Metallica is a great band, can't wait for the game coming out that features them! :amused

I said "Pretty much" Axem.

I have "...And Justice for All"

Only two of the songs on there sound different:One and Blackened

Sure the title track sounds different, but when the drums come in you'll swear the tracks don't change.
